The XX Files Podcast – S02E25 – Anasazi

In our world, unexplained phenomena are represented by two separate, yet equally important groups: the mysterious beings who perpetrate these events, and The FBI Agents who investigate them. These are their stories…

Join Courtney and Alison as they recap the ULTIMATE episode of Season 2 – “Anasazi” – and learn about amazing unsolved mysteries such as how to make love with all your clothes on, how to make an episode full of all the things our hosts love, and why are they even doing this podcast anyways?

We’ll be starting up Tuesday October 4th with the first episode of Season 3, and we hope you’ll keep chatting with us in the in-between times.

Grimace is not a personified McNugget, as the McNuggets are their own beings. They often show up in groups together, ala Exeggcute. They also had some neat Halloween costume Happy Meal toys. Speaking of Pokémon and McDonalds, I theorize that the Fry Guys are teenage evolved forms of Tangela.

According to Navajo traditions, burial rites are very serious business. There are beliefs about the dead that invoke fear and apprehension in the living. They don’t visit burial sites as openly as is done in European-influenced traditions, re. visiting cemeteries. Put very simply, dealing with the dead–especially when improperly buried–is sort of bad luck, in an almost spooky fashion. When possible, they would try to prevent imminent death to occur in the home. I don’t know if these beliefs apply to handling alien corpses and bringing them back to your pad, but….

The “Anasazi” were not aliens, but the ancestral Pueblo people. The Navajo refer to them as the Anasazi, but they are not actually related peoples. They were actually historically rival peoples, in a manner of speaking.
