It takes 3 hours and 20 minutes to get from Washington DC to Atlantic City. 188 miles with little to no traffic.. there is always traffic. The amount of times that Scully is driving to and from I am really shocked that she doesn’t have a T.A.R.D.I.S because.. Dyaum.

Atlantic City doesn’t have a freak show or side show anymore, the closest one is at Coney Island.

There is no mention of what Scully’s specialty is.

“Some nouns, particularly the names of animals and fish, have the same form in singular and plural. Historically and grammatically correct is the word “Bigfoot” for singular and plural, just as “sheep” means one sheep and two or more sheep.”

The Archetype of the Feral Child is pretty rad..

You should read In Plain Site it is a book about the socio-economic issues that are prevalent in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver.

Ooh, thanks for the book rec. This book is also very good – Hope In Shadows – It encompasses a lot of the history of the DTES as well as the current issue of encroaching gentrification.

I agree so whole-heartedly about the disappointment that there was no actual jersey devil in this episode! The first time I watched this show and wasn’t exactly sure what it was about yet I couldn’t WAIT to see this. Jersey Devil is one of my favorite cryptids. Love this show, just was so disappointed!

I hope, in my heart of hearts, that if and when we get another cryptid episode, it is not another abomination like this episode.

Seriously, if they mess with Nessie or Chupacabra or Mothman, I don’t think my lil’ heart would be able to take it 🙁

The scene when Mulder eats like an animal is supposed to answer his question what the difference between a Neandertaler and a modern one. He says “Eight million years out of Africa, I don’t think we’re all that different.” and isn’t he right? Also Scully dating is a nice parallel towards the “Bigfoot” girl and boy being a couple and making babies.

Scully did not look hot in that wedding dress on the date. The food was the only thing that looked hot. 😉

Yes, she has excitement for the first time with Mulder and she is an explorer deep inside and she slowly gets bored from “normal” life. In the end maybe she is not as square as Gillian Anderson wants us to believe she is.

I was disappointed that they didn’t mention Mowgli or Caspar Hauser at all.

The girl in the end looked like Ronia:

Very nice stunt that Gillian Anderson does when she jumps onto the roof.

When Mulder said she is beautiful he meant her character is beautiful because she is smart and didn’t kill him just for the fun of it because she didn’t see him as a thread towards her.

I also think that she wants “they” as their pronoun. They seem to be pretty queer.

Courtney has an obession with racoons, does she?
